aerosol-properties-CFD Solver

source: www.aerosolmodeling.com

A CFD solver is used as the base program for solving the general differential equation governing the convection, diffusion, and sources of a species such as particles.
The CFD solver is used to solve for the flow field and for any chemical reactions.
Chemical reactions produce condensable material that may nucleate to form new particles, or deposit on existing particles to cause them to grow.
The output from a particle dynamics model is the particle size distribution at every point in time and space of interest.
The size distribution also includes information on the distribution of multiple chemical species in the particles.
